Welcome to Thailand - The land of smiles
Because of the great hospitality and enchanting nature with its jungles, beautiful waterfalls and various temples,Thailand has very fast become one of the most popular countries in south east Asia. A lot of travelers choose to visit one of the many paradise islands that are located on the east and west coast of southern Thailand, for relaxation, diving and partying.
Others are more found of the northern part where most of the temples are located and you can go on real jungle trekking and other adventures. The weather is at its best from late November to the end of May, however in April and May it gets really hot. The rain period normally starts in July and stretches to the beginning of November, but this is no guarantee and August and September usually are perfect with hot enough weather and almost no rain. If you want the beach all by yourself you should travel in the low season between May and October.

Where to go
Thailand suits many different tastes. If you're adventurous you might want to check out Chiang Mai with its jungle trekking and adventure stuff. If you're longing for some diving you should consider Koh Tao which is by many regarded as one of the best diving areas in the world. If it's partying you're looking for, the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan is definitely something for you. Otherwise, for chilling out, any of the islands will do just fine.
